Prodigal 2017 Pinot Noir
Ruby garnet in color with aromas of wild black and red fruit – black currant, raspberry accented by clove, violet, strawberry and spice. On the palate, full bodied as the Sta Rita Hills AVA is known for with dark black cherry, blackberry, raspberry and a touch of vanilla. Soft tannins with good acidity throughout to balance the dark rich fruit. Long and elegant on the finish

Fiddlestix Vineyard
Currently, the 2009 Prodigal ‘Fiddlestix’ Pinot Noir is in full maturity and showing all the characteristics which make this vineyard a must-have for every cellar collection…
The winemaker chose exclusively from clone 667 vines with two different rootstocks planted in the ‘Fiddlestix’ Vineyard. True to the clonal character of 667, the structural balance and nuanced fruitiness is complemented by hints of spice and earth. Notes of forest floor and sweet fruit evolve from the glass while being driven by the unique terrior, that Kathy Joseph has been dedicated to expressing for decades. Bottle unfiltered and unrefined… this gem is intact and ready to rock!

Clos Pepe Vineyard
The 2009 Prodigal ‘Clos Pepe’ Pinot Noir does a remarkable job of walking the line between masculine and feminine. While simultaneously translating the vineyard qualities clearly, it also allows the delicate notes to emerge and speak in a way that only the finest vineyards do. Here you will find a bottling that is not only rare, but potentially never to be seen again… the estate is under management and no longer offers fruit for purchase. So while supplies last, we have a few cases left of a limited production winemaker/vineyard collaboration of a lifetime!
